May the 4th 2022 - R2-L0V3

Happy May the 4th! This image was actually done for a competition over at JHill's discord. It was a hard surface competition with the love theme. Quite a complex one, that. It so happened that I was starting work on old R2 at the time and combined the two things in this image 🙂I was awarded 2nd place for it, which was a nice bonus. I felt like it was a good image to share on this day. With all that's happening in the world, we could use a bit more of love in our lives. Bonus R2 render just for the heck of it 🙂

Anyway, for some technical stuff, the model is actually not done. I still have to model the middle foot and then UV map and texture the whole thing properly. It's super high resolution though. Probably far too much, but that's how I roll. I'll do a proper project post when it's all done. 3ds max and V-Ray as usual.
